Brod Pete and Long Mejia “Raised the Roof” last Saturday as they opened their Gag concert series at the Music Museum. The seasoned comedians, with their combination of wit and perfect timing knocked out the audience who couldn’t keep up laughing all throughout the show!

The series entitled “Ka Pete Na, Ka Long Pa:The Gag Concert Of The Decade” is considered the comeback of Brod Pete, a veteran comedy script writer/actor and Long Mejia, an award winning comedian admittedly have been not in the limelight as often as before but what a comeback this show has been.

Wild applause greeted the duo as they stepped on stage after their “grand entrance”, Brod Pete immediately issued a warning that the show was for intelligent people only and those that were not were to be led out of the venue prompting a night filled with laughter and curve-balls. Among their skits included are the renamed classic “Ang Ditong Doon” where Brod Pete answered questions from the audience, controversial fashion show spoof entitled “Backout:The Benchwarmers” plus you’d really want to know who the “Singing B.” is! Veering off the now typical insult comedy and old fashioned slapstick is what makes this show a success.

Even Guest Stars were not granted immunity to the gags of the two jesters namely, Angelica Jones, Dennis Padilla, The Cercado Sisters, Michelle Esteves, Barney and Ms. Faith Cuneta. Time flies when everyone was busy having fun, no one noticed that the show lasted nearly 3 hours long! This is one comedy concert you don’t want to be left out of. Who knows what’s in store for the next shows? ALIEN!

“KA PETE NA, KA LONG PA: THE GAG CONCERT OF THE DECADE” series continues on Sept. 13 an d 25, 2008 at the Music Museum 9PM. Slated to appear in the coming shows are Cesar Montano,Ara Mina, Bayani Agbayani, Ms Faith Cuneta and more surprise guests.
